This is a super late review but I felt like I just needed to give credit to this salon. I came in for a perm with Kat as I was really bored with my flat pin straight Asian hair. Initially was freaked out by how curly it looked (keep in mind I never do ANYTHING to my hair so even the slightest change is going to be uncomfortable for me) but Kat assured me that it was going to relax- and she was totally right. It's been a few months now and not only does my hair have a ton of new body to it, it holds a curl after an iron way better than it ever did in my entire life. I even went for a wedding hair trial the other day and my stylist was blown away by how full and easy to style my hair was. I am so glad I did this and I would leave my hair in Kat's hands anytime! Thank you guys so much!
I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but I'm hoping this will save someone in the near future from having the experience I did. I'd been to this salon before and had a good experience so came back to get a partial highlight. I thought it would range from $70-120, but apparently it's more. Tonya was my stylist, and boy either she was having a day or she's just tired of doing hair. She wasn't friendly at all and didn't ask me anything, really. When I showed her what I wanted, she basically said I'd have to get the entire full highlight ($250) to have my hair come out that color. I was confused, but she agreed to make it look more "platinum" and less brassy which is what I wanted. I didn't come out the color I wanted at all, and on top of that she said I needed to "up my game" because my hair was damaged. I thought maybe it was the lighting and when I got home but realized I'd paid $175 for a partial highlight that I didn't like at all. I tried calling and left a message with the salon and no one ever returned my call.
I am updating this review as I am blown away at the service I received after leaving this. I know it's not easy running a business, and I salute the owner Laura for fixing this issue. Kat completely gave my hair a makeover (complimentary) and I am more than ecstatic to say it turned out the way I wanted in the first place. It's stunning, and Kat took her time with me and my hair and she deserves serious compliments for being amazing! Thank you to the Bad Kittie Salon for reaching back out and proving you care about your clients. If you're a blonde, be sure to ask for Kat!
