“My super power is finding humor in every situation”
After 14 years, Lora is still passionate about hair and her clients. Originally from Florida, her mom was her inspiration for becoming a stylist. She’s been in Colorado since 1996 and trained at one of Denver’s premiere salons where she apprenticed under a Vidal Sassoon and Tony&Guy certified stylist. After establishing herself through Denver salons she opened the Bad Kittie in 2007. Lora loves being on Colfax and is a staple in the Bluebird district and her community. She loves to travel and has found inspiration all over the world. She’s a curly hair master, is highly trained in pin-up and vintage with a huge emphasis on continuing education.

Seeking a path that would let her creativity thrive, was hands-on and allowed her to travel, the world of hair and beauty was the perfect fit. “I just sort of stumbled into it and I never looked back.” Meryl graduated from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2007 and less than a year later moved to New York City to continue her education including apprenticing under Sheer Genius contestant April Barton. After returning to Colorado in late 2009 she found The Bad Kittie Salon where her love of pin-up and vintage flourished. She’s a master of styling from classic to avant garde and loves taking her skills on the road including fashion shows, photo shoots, and collaborating with local artist behind the scenes and in front of the camera, making magic wherever she goes!
I grew up in New York State. I moved to Charlotte, NC in my teens. I spent 6 years in the Mountainous High Country of Boone, NC where I could blend my favorite hobbies: Hair Styling, and Outdoor Sports.
I most recently moved to Denver, Colorado to start a new journey in my career! Growing up, my mother was a hair stylist/Barber, and being raised in a salon atmosphere, inspired me to embrace the interaction with people, and to visualize and create ways to make individuals’ appearance radiate.
I have extensively trained under many reputable lines, and have been in the beauty industry since 2006. I have attended the International Beauty Show at Las Vegas, and New York City. I travel to different areas to aquire knowledge and upcoming trends to bring back to the salon.
Doing hair is a very gratifying career, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to paint your canvas…
Your hair should reflect your personality! 🙂

“My purpose in this life is to find beauty in all forms”
As a young child, I’ve always been drawn to recreating things from ordinary to beautiful. Starting from chopping my Barbie’s hair to playing hairstylist with my family. I always tried to stray away from the mainstream lifestyle, I suppose I was always a little rebellious; I knew I wanted to do something that could really portray my artistic self. I found myself in the beauty industry as a teen. Graduating from Xenon International Academy I knew I had found exactly what I wanted. Constantly keeping myself up to date with education between hair shows to hands on classes. I’m passionate about perfecting my skills, which include fashion shades, dramatic edgy styles, blonde bombshells and old Hollywood glam. I want to make sure my clients are getting the most unique style that fits their personality. The passion I have for this industry grows stronger with each and every beautiful soul I have the pleasure to work with.
Kat has a deeply passionate dedication to her craft and loyalty to clients. She is up to date on the latest trends in color and styling as well as specializing in Vintage Styling. In her free time she enjoys playing bass guitar, art, classic horror movies, comic books, and exploring Colorado. Kat has been in the business of style for over a decade and personally finds Color Correction to be one of the most fun, challenging and creative experiences!
Following in her grandmothers footsteps, Piper considers hair-styling to be a family tradition. “I grew up in my family’s beauty shop – there is just something special about pairing creativity with compassion.” She expresses that being able to work with her hands and create beauty gives her a drive to improve daily. Although she hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, she has had the opportunity to learn from renowned stylists across the United States. “I want to be educated on my craft as much as possible. It’s my job as a stylist to relay all important information to my client so they understand the process as well.” Although she’s only been in the business since 2015, she performs with experience like no other. Her passion is blonding- although she believes that every part of the service is vital to achieving the perfect final product. “I love the challenge of blondes – there are so many variants and sometimes the process is so meticulous! Blondes require such a high attention to detail so it pushes me to achieve perfection.” She has even created her own technique to combat the stresses of a full balayage service, cutting the time in the salon for her guests! The client is always her number one priority – the style must be functional, practical, and fit their lifestyle. “This is a service industry and i am here for YOU! Everyone deserves to love what’s on their head – so let’s make hair MAGIC!”
