“My super power is finding humor in every situation”
After 20 years, Lora is still passionate about hair and her clients. Originally from Florida, her mom was her inspiration for becoming a stylist. She’s been in Colorado since 1996 and trained at one of Denver’s premiere salons where she apprenticed under a Vidal Sassoon and Tony&Guy certified stylist. After establishing herself through Denver salons she opened the Bad Kittie in 2007. Lora loves being on Colfax and is a staple in the Bluebird district and her community. She loves to travel and has found inspiration all over the world. She’s a curly hair master, is highly trained in pin-up and vintage with a huge emphasis on continuing education.
Her specialties include proficiency in Color Theory, Chemical and Biological Applications, Advanced Aesthetics and Creative Manipulation of all above listed tools.
As a Master Cosmetologist with thirteen years of professional experience, Kathryn brings a diverse skills set to share her passion for self-expression within the realms of the physical, spiritual, and ethereal.
Kathryn’s qualifications include (but are not limited to) Advanced Goldwell Color Design, Modern and Classic Perm Design, Certified RefectoCil Lash Artist and Babe Extensions Master Graduate.
Following in her grandmothers footsteps, Piper considers hair-styling to be a family tradition. “I grew up in my family’s beauty shop – there is just something special about pairing creativity with compassion.” She expresses that being able to work with her hands and create beauty gives her a drive to improve daily. Although she hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, she has had the opportunity to learn from renowned stylists across the United States. “I want to be educated on my craft as much as possible. It’s my job as a stylist to relay all important information to my client so they understand the process as well.” Although she’s only been in the business since 2015, she performs with experience like no other. Her passion is blonding- although she believes that every part of the service is vital to achieving the perfect final product. “I love the challenge of blondes – there are so many variants and sometimes the process is so meticulous! Blondes require such a high attention to detail so it pushes me to achieve perfection.” She has even created her own technique to combat the stresses of a full balayage service, cutting the time in the salon for her guests! The client is always her number one priority – the style must be functional, practical, and fit their lifestyle. “This is a service industry and i am here for YOU! Everyone deserves to love what’s on their head – so let’s make hair MAGIC!”
I specialize in Hair Coloring Techniques, such as Balayage, Hair Painting, Highlighting, Melts, Corrections and Fashion Shades. Other passions include Vintage Styling, Special Occasion Updos, Braiding, and Makeup Applications.
I began my journey as a cosmetologist at the Aveda Institute of Denver. There I learned the art of maintaining beauty on the outside as well as the beauty within yourself. I believe we must protect and nurture the balance of our bodies, minds, and souls while bringing out the best in our appearance!
I thoroughly enjoy my career as a hairstylist! I feel privileged to be part of such a lively, artistic and creative family here at The Bad Kittie Salon! I plan to continue growing and mastering my craft and look forward to new memorable experiences with my co workers and guests!
Balayage, fashion colors and bridal makeup are some of my specialties.
Hair and makeup have always been a passion of mine. Beauty is limitless and has so many options. I am naturally a brunette but a blonde at heart. I love learning new techniques and bettering myself as a stylist, so I am a firm believer of continuing education, especially in such a fast paced industry.
“Express yourself through your art, whether it’s your drawings in a sketchpad, tattoos on your skin, the shade of your lipstick, or the clothes that you wear.”
